If trial litigation is the art of persuasion, demonstrative tools are one of the practitioner’s most powerful brushes.Trilogy's design, animation, and forensic experts have created and displayed exhibits in cases across the legal spectrum for use in mediation and trials. These visual aids are an invaluable resource to your legal team because we can take any complex case and distill it into easy-to-understand graphics that juries in any venue will comprehend and value.
Our experienced team of design professionals can bring the facts of your case to life. Admiralty & Maritime cases are one of many areas where you can connect with the jury by using one of our compelling exhibits.
Computer forensic animations have revolutionized the way evidence is presented across numerous areas of litigation. At Trilogy Trial Consultants, we take complex matters and translate them into simple yet powerful visual experiences. Our animations are an invaluable resource that leaves a lasting impression on opposing counsel and your jury.
A biomechanical animation is a powerful exhibit to employ in conjunction with a biomechanical expert. A biomechanical expert is able to calculate the movement of the body in any situation and determine the forces placed upon the body at any point, and whether that is consistent with an injury-causing event. They can provide a foundation for a video that goes through each injury in slow-motion, so the jury can appreciate how every single injury occurred. The benefit of biomechanical animations are that even when every injury is admitted, it can be used as a teaching tool to explain the incident, and what plaintiff suffered during the impact itself as part of his/her claim of emotional distress. If you are dealing with a disputed injury, like a brain injury that is hard to diagnose, a strong visual of how the head hit the car and the speed at which it hit goes a long way toward explaining your point of view on the case. From the position of defense counsel, if there is no evidence of a correlation between an injury and the event, then visibly showing that the type of movement does not result in injury is a compelling way to explain the defense point, even in an admitted liability case.
3D Laser Scanning
Trilogy can scan accident scenes, large scale areas, intersections, buildings, boats, vehicles and products. The advantages of utilizing this technology is that these scanned scenes or objects can be rotated and viewed live during your mediation and/or trial. In addition, scanned data can be integrated into full scale 3D animations. 3D vehicles can be inserted into the scanned scenes. On residential or commercial properties, the entire interior can be scanned and used as the reenactment's base structure for complete accuracy.
